I love farts, and I’m not afraid to admit that. My favorite movie is Swiss Army Man, a film about learning not to hide farts from your friends. My favorite South Park characters are Terrance and Phillip, the fart-based Canadian comedians that need no more than a toot for a punchline. I am a friend of farts, and there’s nothing wrong with that. 

My most legendary farting story happened in a now-closed bar called The Shrunken Head. I was sitting at a table with my friends, and a woman we knew brought her new puppy over to us. While my buddy Zack held the dog in his arms, I let out a fart for the ages. It was silent but more deadly than you could ever imagine. Luckily for me, the fart was so brutal everybody blamed it on the dog, and I was saved from the humiliation of gastrointestinal shaming. I came clean about a year later, but I am still proud of how I effectively pulled the wool over everyone’s eyes.
