A couple of bad apples didn’t ruin the whole bunch. When revisiting the Harry Potter films, you can’t overstate how well they’ve aged. With the exception of some Quidditch scenes in the first movie, the special effects are so good that a muggle might guess they were made far more recently than 15+ years ago. …

Happy New Year, Potterheads! Who among us isn’t excited about what 2026 will bring? 2026 means we’re one year closer to 2027, and 2027 is the year the Harry Potter HBO Max show comes out! A year is a long time to wait, but the Harry Potter fandom used to have to do a ton …

The Best Harry Potter Memes of the Week
The Harry Potter character I would least like to spend Christmas with has got to be Dudley Dursley. If you think his birthday is a whole to-do, how do you think he’ll handle Christmas, when he has to sit and watch other people who aren’t him open presents? He will not be able to sit …

30+ of the Best Harry Potter Memes of the Week (February 28, 2024)
Harry Potter haters always talk about how Hogwarts does not give its students a well-rounded education. It’s perfectly acceptable to thrust a population of 18-year-old wizards with barely a 5th-grade mathematics education into the wizarding world. While it is wild that the only math course at Hogwarts is an elective, the subjects taught correlate pretty …

25 of the Best Harry Potter Memes of the Week (February 21, 2024)
I have never been a big fan of the Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them series. I’m happy that more movies are being made about the wizarding world, but I wish that these were different movies. JK Rowling is clearly surrounded by yes men who let her write the screenplay for all of these …

A Cedric Diggory-Heavy Dump of Harry Potter Memes (September 26, 2023)
In hindsight, I cannot believe I didn’t know the fate of Cedric Diggory when I first read the Harry Potter books. I was an incredibly late bloomer with the series (I read all of them after my Sophomore year of college), and when I started The Sorcerer’s Stone, the only characters whose doomed fate I …

I don’t know if there’s a Harry Potter meme more pervasive than «HARRY, DID YOU PUT YOUR NAME IN THE GOBLET OF FIRE?» The meme first circulated on Tumblr, which we all know is the breeding ground for all the best fandom-related memes. For those of you who are unfamiliar, I’ll give you a crash …

The Funniest Harry Potter Memes of the Week (April 25, 2023)
Good morning Potterheads! It’s innocuous days like today that really make me think about how Dudley Dursley is doing as an adult. Of course, I know Dudley Dursley isn’t a real person, but there are thousands of kids just like him all over the world who are all grown up now. Kids who cried if …

The Best Harry Potter Memes of the Week (March 20, 2023)
It never ceases to astound me how much Harry Potter fanfiction there is in this world. Former Harry Potter fanfiction authors are now New York Times Bestsellers, whether you like it or not. An entire generation’s passion for creative writing began with Drarry and Dramione stories featuring plots I couldn’t speak of in a public …

More Harry Potter Memes For Star Quidditch Players
One of my favorite parts of the Harry Potter books were the Quidditch matches. There’s something so relatable and simple about the fact that on that Quidditch pitch, Harry was just a normal kid. Sure, he was a jock and a sports prodigy, being the first first year to join the Quidditch team, but it …
