A couple of bad apples didn’t ruin the whole bunch.
When revisiting the Harry Potter films, you can’t overstate how well they’ve aged. With the exception of some Quidditch scenes in the first movie, the special effects are so good that a muggle might guess they were made far more recently than 15+ years ago.
When I look back at those movies, I often think it’s a miracle they managed to make eight movies in ten years with teenage main characters as good as they were. A lesser production would have fizzled out after the first couple of books, but the Harry Potter movies piqued exactly when they needed to: during the final film.
As good as the Harry Potter movies are, they are not perfect. Amongst a sea of beautifully composed shots, there are a couple of eyesores that take us out of the movie.
