Is it just me, or do you also miss having a real villain in a kid’s fairy-tale movie? Because lately, villains seem to have said, ‘ Bye-bye,’ and misunderstood characters have said, ‘Hello world.’ Seems like Netflix doesn’t get bored of messing up stories, TV shows, franchises, and so on. As if the Narnia trailer …

19-year-old is being threatened with eviction by her work-from-home parents for refusing to provide full-time childcare for her toddler brother after her own exhausting days at college and work
Nineteen years old and being told she is ungrateful for not wanting to raise her three-year-old brother while her parents work from home in the next room. 21st-century Cinderella? She helped for years without complaining, grabbing clothes and making bottles when asked, but somewhere along the way the occasional favor became a full job description, …

There’s a rousing debate within the Disney corporation (and fandom) regarding how to expand the canon. After ten years of dominance at the box office, the world might finally be over Disney’s live-action remakes of their old movies. Bob Iger realizes he could print money by recycling old material for theatrical releases rather than cheap …

I saw Moana 2 this week, and let me tell y’all…the straight-to-DVD sequel era of the 2000s is back and as middling as ever! It’s no surprise that this Moana sequel made as much money as it did at the box office. The Lion King II: Simba’s Pride made a ton of money when it …

I have a feeling that Bob Iger’s days are numbered. He’s been a competent Disney CEO for such a long time, but it’s clear that his low-risk business strategies are not paying off like they used to. I’m not afraid to say that I miss the wild times of Michael Eisner. He made so many …

My favorite Disney villain is, by far, Cruella de Vil. First of all, I love a name that is severely on the nose, and you don’t get more on the nose than ‘Cruella DeVil.’ She’s one of those villains that has so much fun with being evil; killing puppies is a whimsically horrible hobby, don’t …

It’s easy to forget how much Disney changed the theme park game. Before Disneyland opened in 1955, no amusement park had ever achieved such a level of immersive theming. Arguably, no theme park has surpassed Disney ever since. You could make the argument for The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, but I’m not in the …

Disney Adults are one of the most oppressed groups in the world today. Well, not necessarily, but they do get a lot of flack for the mere crime of liking theme parks and animated movies. Sure, maybe wearing mouse ears and crying when you meet Donald Duck is «cringe» by the standards of conventional society, …
