One of my favorite classes in high school was a course called Global Ethics. It was an intro course to everything philosophy and ethics, from Kant to Nietzsche and more. We would have the most interesting discussions and debates, getting into weedy issues with real-life ramifications. It was a good field of study for someone that age when you’re most ripe for ruminating. 

The word philosophy means the love of wisdom. Delving deep into a moral quandary and understanding other people’s takes on it is the stuff of life for a philosopher. It’s abstract as it is practical. Philosophy also makes for some great memes. Memes are philosophical exercises anyway, they put forth an ideology and inspire conversation around it.
