Parenting is one of those things that you can’t fully understand unless you’ve done it. You can remember what it was like to be parented, or watch your friends do it and see what that’s like, but doing it is an entirely different experience. It’s like going to space. We can watch Gravity or Appollo 13 all day long and imagine what it would be like to sail through the great black nothing in a high-tech space suit with a crew of ingenious scientists, but we will probably never know what it’s actually like to see the Earth from afar, floating all alone in an endless galaxy. No, that’s probably pretty trippy. 

Imagine that, but it’s staring at a mini version of yourself all day, trying to avoid their questions about where babies come from. No, that’s a whole other level of experience that only parents are lucky enough to know. These parenting tweets might get you close, though.
