As Natasha Bedingfield once said, «Feel the rain on your skin, no one else can feel it for you, only you can let it in.» Yes, she said rain, but she could have been talking about the «rain» that emanates from our shower heads. Only we can feel it for us. We have to let it in. Only we must scrub behind our ears. 

Taking a shower is one of the greatest pleasures of our contemporary world. Sure, a bath is awesome every now and then, especially for those of us with a romantic-depressive slant, but a shower is far more utilitarian and if done right, no less relaxing. For me, it all depends on temperature. I need it just about as hot as it can go, and then I feel my muscles finally uncoil. And then if the shower alchemy is just right, the thoughts start flowing and I get profound. Just like the ingenious folks behind these Reddit posts.
