Listen, we’ve all got to admit it. No matter how internet-savvy we think we are, all of us have had those moments where we just don’t get a meme. For example, I was confused by the Survivorship Bias Plane for the longest time, and to be honest, I still don’t completely understand it. 

With memes being as advanced as they are these days, it’s easy for the referential humor to go straight over our heads. Sometimes, we have no choice but to let it. The punchline may become obvious to us eventually, but that’s a chance we are going to have to take. The main thing is that we were served up some distraction from our mundane and irritating lives. We might not know what we’re looking at, but we have to be glad of it nonetheless. If only there were many other things where we were allowed to be as bewildered.
