Socks… the underwear of the feet. The thing that separates our tender little piggies from the harsh realities of our shoes, or the unforgiving dirt of our poorly-kempt homes. I’m a sock enthusiast; I have crew socks in every color, arch-supporting ankle socks for running, tube socks for boots, and a couple of stray knee-highs leftover from my school uniform. I love them, but I don’t let myself get too attached, since we’re all familiar with the sock-thief that is the washing machine. 

I swear I have no idea where they go, but I somehow lose at least one sock every wash cycle. It’s never two of the same, no. It’s always the lonely pair of the special sock that now has no home. The poor souls, separated forever by the cruel hands of life. But the good thing about these memes is that they’re so special that they’ll knock your socks right off your feet. At least they’ll be gone together.
