We’ve all heard the classic adage that «diamonds are forever». It’s a phrase that exists to communicate that only an expensive diamond will ensure a lifetime of blissful wedded commitment. Unfortunately, judging by all the divorced couples milling around the globe, the adage is more than a little bit misleading. Think of all the people on their third marriages! At the end of the day, there’s very little in the way of permanence during this silly existence. Even this big old planet can’t escape eventual destruction – it’s an eventuality that becomes more apparent every day thanks to climate change. But for now, while we’re here -and probably as long as mortals are still kicking- we will have memes. Memes are always here for us when we need a little pick-me-up.
