Even when they’re kind of stupid and most definitely low effort, the creation of a meme is a miraculous thing. Not only are meme creators taking whatever wild thought they’ve had and making it into creative reality, they are managing to do it through the shared knowledge of humorous media that we have all become accustomed to. If you’ve ever tried to make a snappy meme, you will know that this can be a lot harder than it looks. Despite this, there are millions out there who try every day to create (or at least successfully steal) the kind of content that gets us all doing that subtle nose exhale. We may not fully appreciate the wonder that is the internet meme every time that we come across one, but we don’t always have to. It’s not something we should have to put too much thought into, right? No thoughts, just memes.
