Finally. Here in the Northeast the long and oppressive winter is beginning to loosen its grip on our poor, seasonal depression-addled souls. The sun is starting to pop out, the open-toe shoes are getting paraded around town, and teachers are starting to feel the restlessness that happens before school’s out for summer. If kids think they have it hard, though, they need to get real and start thinking about their teachers. They deserve our pity. By mid-May, they’re on the verge of insanity after spending time grading tests and lesson-planning at home, paying for important school supplies that should be provided for by the school, and getting head lice or a nasty cold for the umpteenth time of the year. The struggle is very real, and should be recognized as such. While teaching is as hard as we are explaining, it definitely makes for some good humor and great memes. After all, you need a healthy sense of humor to retain sanity in the business. That’s why we’re here with the memes.
