Like movies, TV shows, toys, or food, video games can induce acute nostalgia. Playing an old game can send you right back to your childhood self when you had hours and hours of free time and some low-budget games at your disposal. I remember spending all day playing Super Monkey Ball on my GameBoy. If you put one of those in my hands now, I’d be 7 years old again, though I’m sure the device would feel pretty small in my hands. And maybe I’d get bored of it more quickly. Though who’s to say? Super Monkey Ball was a pretty enthralling game.
