As a former bored small town girl, I get the excitement that comes from moving to the big smoke. Finally, everybody else walks as fast as you do, and you can go to the grocery store without bumping into your high school English teacher, your ex, and your dentist all within the space of ten minutes. Despite its (many) downsides, city life can be fun! Sometimes, we’ve got to wash away some of that ingrained urban cynicism and enjoy living in the moment. 

That said, there’s a difference between creating memories with your friends and just straight up acting cringe — or even worse, committing cringeworthy acts for the sheer clout of it. It’s no surprise that TikTokers often fall foul of this balance, but at least it sometimes brings humorous results. This was the case recently when @_savkaa posted a video of her and her friend in New York frolicking barefoot in the rain. Unfortunately for them, so did some strangers who happened to catch the spontaneous occasion, leading to plenty of jokes at their expense. While the desire to let loose is understandable, this is hardly a Drew Barrymore moment.
