I don’t want to say I’m a pun hater. I spent my middle school years watching Hannah Hart’s YouTube videos, just like every other gay tween girl at the time, so I’ve developed some level of affection for them. However, puns are not always my cup of tea. Sometimes, they feel more like an act of clever wordplay than a joke. I understand that they intentionally tow that line, but I find that when they lean more toward wit than being actually funny, it bothers me. I hate to be a hater, but I am one. 

Memes, on the other hand, and just pure humor. They are not predicated on the notion of being clever or having to think about them. They are just their funny selves, and I find that extremely beautiful. If you like puns and memes, you are absolutely in the right place. You’ve never been in a place more right than this.
