‘Insane person behavior’: People debate the normality of not leaving the house for one day

As somebody who frequently works from home, I have an added appreciation for that mystical thing that normal people call ‘going outside’. I know how easy it can be to shut yourself in with your laptop and some food and not take a full breath of fresh air for 24 hours or more. If you’re ill, hungover, or depressed, it’s nothing short of paradise (if you can achieve such a thing in any of those states). However, if you’re physically capable you feel much better if you at least go on a couple of short walks a day.

After the past few years, we might not think staying inside is such a controversial topic. It is according to Twitter, though, as one post has recently proven. When staying inside for an entire day was denounced as «insane person behavior», a lot of people had something to say about that. This is the platform that pioneered the idea of touching grass, after all.
