There are few more iconic sights in London than the tall-hatted Beefeaters who are tasked with the ceremonial guard of the Queen. Their duties draw sizable crowds of tourists nearly every day, but recently they were the subject of even more attention for all the wrong reasons.

A pair of guards at the Tower of London were on marching duty yesterday when a young boy got in their way. Instead of moving around the child, they shocked onlookers by walking over him. Footage of the incident soon went viral after it was uploaded to TikTok.

While many might think that a grown man flattening a kid is a pretty open and shut case, viewers were less certain about where the blame lay. Whoever was at fault, there’s no doubt that it makes for uncomfortable viewing.
