Man Tells Co-Worker to Ignore Her Husband’s Insecurities During Business Trip

I’m not a relationship expert. Far from it. But even I can identify blatant issues. The following post made in the /r/amitheasshole subreddit is a case example of a not-so-ideal relationship situation.

The story goes that Redditor /u/One_Comfort_62 had developed a contemptuous relationship with his co-worker, Justin. While the reasons for their problematic status were left ungiven, it could be largely in part due to the user’s close relationship with his Justin’s wife, Ashley, who also happened to be another one of his co-workers. Justin had expressed his grievances with her closeness to the user, but she didn’t pay them any mind.

On a cross-country business trip, the user and Ashley were spending a lot of time together. Enough time that Justin was texting his wife quite often. The user, annoyed with the whole marriage situation between Ashley and Justin, told Ashley to just ignore her husband. The user felt that he shouldn’t be responsible for Justin’s insecurities. Reasonably, this caused a rift between the husband and wife. The user felt justified in his actions and asked Reddit for a second opinion.

In my opinion, this is a sticky situation. There are clearly some issues in the marriage and there’s an implied connection between the user and Ashley. I don’t think anyone is in the right here, but who am I to say? Let’s see what Redditors had to say.
