On June 12th, McDonald’s released a Grimace Meal to celebrate his birthday. According to my research, this year marks Grimace’s 52nd birthday, which, although it’s not a significant birthday for humans, it very well could be for the Grimace community. The meal is nearly 1500 calories and includes a shake the same color as Grimace’s furry purple body. If your response to that news is, «What a flagrant display of capitalistic nonsense! What grown adult would spend their hard-earned money on Grimace-flavored food,» you might be overestimating the taste of Americans. 

Grimace is definitely a top-three McDonalds icon, following Ronald McDonald and The Hamburgler. The thing that sets Grimace apart from those two rapscallions is that you can make a shake the color of his fur. If you made a shake that was the color of human skin or clown makeup, it would be so much less appealing.
