It’s perfectly normal to gain a few pounds in the winter months. That’s when all the ‘cookie holidays’ are, that’s when you’re wearing the bulkiest clothes, and that’s when the weather is so depressing that you can fully justify eating an entire birthday cake for lunch. However, since it’s no longer jacket weather, slim thicc folks are starting to notice that they’re a little thicker than they were last summer and it’s becoming crunch time (no pun intended) to get their midsection together before pool season. As the days get hotter and the layers come off, it’s time to get that diet you always talked about into motion.
For those of us who are certainly failing with our gym goals and cardio calendars, the summer bod you always wanted will be forever out of reach. People with year-round summer bods probably have olympians in their family tree, so they’re anatomically predisposed to have a rockin’ 6-pack. For most people, instead of star athletes, they sport a handful of cousins with diabetes and heart disease in their lineage.
