If there’s one Christmas movie I’ve seen more than any other, it’s Elf. The 2003 comedy starring Will Ferrell came out 20 years ago, and I still can’t stop replaying the DVD and laughing at the same gags repeatedly. There’s something so enjoyable about a man breaking all social norms in the service of being a bonafide Christmas lover. I love all of the food gags…a grown man spraying «Passionfruit Spray» into his mouth and screaming in a department store will literally never get old. Chowing down on cotton balls at the doctor’s office? Brilliant! Making a spaghetti maple syrup monstrosity and forcing your dad’s wife to eat it and feign enjoyment? Chewing real used gum found on the streets of NYC? Elf does gross so well. This movie will always be funny to me, and no Christmas-hating Scrooge (Or Walter Hobbs, for that matter) will change my mind. I hope these Elf memes will help put you in the Christmas spirit.
