If you’re the type who is prone to existential crises, I do not doubt that you must have marveled at how small and insignificant you are on the scale of the Earth. There’s nothing quite as trippy as looking at a world map and realizing that you are a tiny speck upon a slightly less tiny speck on a massive rock that has been floating through space for billions of years.

It’s easy to get carried away with that train of thought, so it’s good to humble those darned cartographers now and again. Sure, we can use maps for things like directions and geography, but it’s much more fun to mess around with them and see what happens. The maps shown below may not be especially useful, but they can certainly provide some interest. Who cares about navigating when you have entertainment to attend to? Certainly not me, or anyone who created these.
