You might have already heard, but video game engine maker Unity got into a lot of trouble this past week for being extremely sus. The company wanted to charge video game studios a fee every time a game using Unity’s development tool was installed. Developers were understandably pissed off, and gaming companies behind huge hit titles like Among Us threatened to drop Unity if they didn’t change their policy. Well, not only did Unity backtrack on their initial plan to charge studios, but they even released an apology for the pain and confusion they caused across the game development world. This just goes to show that you should never mess with a developer.
