2020 killed the snow day. When I was a kid, having more than 3 inches of snow on the ground ensured that I would not be sitting in a classroom that day. It allowed me to sit on the couch all day in my snuggie, watching TV without feeling guilty about it at all. Unfortunately, today’s kids will never get to enjoy the thrill of watching the news at 6 AM, waiting to see if your school is one of the lucky ones that closed down due to inclement weather. 

These days, kids and adults alike work from home if the weather is too dangerous to face. It’s nice to do your work in your warm apartment instead of driving down an icy terrain to get to your drafty office, but I’m sure we all wish we could’ve made this three-day weekend a four-day one.
