I’ve recently been grappling with a question that I’m sure keeps us all up at night: When is Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark coming back to Broadway? I know the Spider-Man musical has been an object of derision for over a decade, and I understand why. It was a critical and financial failure, running only three years and failing to make back its pricy $75 million dollar budget. It was the most expensive musical of all time, and it didn’t show. So many actors in that production got injured from Spidey stunts that there’s a whole section of the Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark Wikipedia about it. All things considered, it’s going to be a while until Peter Parker hits the stage again.
