Skyrim has been essential meme fodder for all of the 13 years it has been with us. It spawned some of the most classic memes of internet history, including «I took an arrow to the knee.» Remember that old chestnut? That’ll get the nostalgia wheels turning. I knew about that meme way before I ever knew what Skyrim was. And then there was «You’re finally awake» which was responsible for some iconic meme-age a handful of years ago. So it goes without saying that the game has continued to churn the imaginations of meme-makers the world over. People are still playing Skyrim, and you best believe they’re still making memes about it. 

I wonder if another classic Skyrim meme format will come to the fore, and break out of its original fandom. Who knows, maybe we’ve moved on to Fortnite. But for the true Skyrim heads out there, there’s always plenty of content.
