Bacon: it’s one of those things that most of us can agree on. Remember back in the 2010s when bacon was all we could talk about? People are running around wearing bacon socks, ordering bacon cupcakes, and getting bacon tattoos. It was a weirdly specific crazy, but I also get it. When it’s done right, bacon encapsulates all the best types of flavors: salty, fatty, and umami. And it goes with everything from eggs to dates to maple-glazed donuts. I’m a bacon believer. 

It’s no wonder that the phrase «Bring home the bacon» has so much resonance in our culture. It’s something that provides. It’s a symbol of prosperity, of wealth. It’s not a dietary staple, it’s the cherry on top of the Sunday. It’s a delicious delicacy. It would pair well with these memes. We can pretend it’s the mid-2010s again. Life can be so beautiful sometimes if you let it.
