Camping is one of those things I’ve never done but would love to do. Sure, I’ve slept in a tent in my backyard and been to camping-themed parties, but that is not even in the same stratosphere as actual camping. I’ve probably never camped because I don’t have an outdoorsy family, but that’s not wholly to blame. I’ve also seen The Blair Witch Project enough to know that I have comparable navigation skills to those three idiots. I also recently saw the movie The Fablemans about Steven Spielberg’s childhood, which involves a camping trip that goes horribly wrong. Basically, (spoilers ahead) Steven Spielberg’s mom cheats on Paul Dano with Seth Rogan, and teen Spielberg doesn’t realize this until analyzing the body language of his mom and Seth Rogan in film footage of his family’s camping trip that he recorded. I’m not interested in that sort of devastating familial realization, so I’m going to stick to traveling to other cities for right now.
