Gen Zers love to talk about how Friends and Seinfeld were the best situational comedies of this era, and I can’t deny that those shows are great. There’s something about Frasier that’s so timeless and endlessly funny that I keep returning to it. The dynamic of the posh sons with the retired cop dad and the hilarious British physical therapist that wins the heart of the smaller of the posh sons is something you don’t see in TV shows these days! I love how Frasier’s confidence never wavers, no matter how often he is humiliated. Frasier as a character first premiered in the 80s, and he’s still getting new episodes well into the 2020s.
