People can be very critical of others they deem to be «too online.» We’re having entire societal debates right now about whether it’s good or bad that young people would rather spend time on the internet than they would have sex or drink alcohol. You might have a visceral reaction one way or the other, but the issue is a lot more complicated than «Kids need to play outside more» or «Kids need to get off the computer.» We’re far beyond the point where the internet functions as simply an extra way of socializing that works in tandem with regular socializing.
