With screens grabbing our attention at every turn, it’s important to cultivate our offline hobbies. Sure, video games and movies are a nice pastime, and writing is a great means of creativity, but all of those (usually) require locking your eyes to a screen for a couple of hours. I don’t know about you, but after eight hours of being paid to use a laptop, I’m aching for activity that occupies my eyes elsewhere. This is one of the many beautiful things about playing Dungeons and Dragons. It’s a (pretty much) offline activity. Just you, your friends, some dice, some paper, and a whole lot of good vibes.
