«The force» is such a powerful concept. It’s so simply named, yet effective. Everybody knows what the force is. It’s become part of our cultural lexicon, like double-dipping or Debbie Downer (invented by Seinfeld and SNL, respectively). The force is also easy to wrap your head around as a sci-fi concept because we all have some idea of what it might feel like to possess it. We might call it spirit, or soul, adrenaline, or perhaps qi, but we all know what it’s like to feel a surge of power. Some might say that’s what it feels like to chew Five Gum. 

And no matter what you call it, «The Life Current» says the Mustafarians, or the Luminous Mist, according to the the Mist-Weavers… the force is the thing that holds everything together. It’s one of those instances where a sci-fi concept has resonance in the real world. So this week’s memes are dedicated to the force. May it be with you.
