The Golden Globes just happened, and Star Wars alum were out to play. Natalie Portman finally met and took a picture with her in-universe son, Mark Hamill, and a family tree was completed. It’s funny to think that they had never actually met before this Sunday, given how big of roles they both play in the beloved franchise. 

It’s wild to take stock of all the accomplished actors that have had turns in the Star Wars universe. Samuel L. Jackson? Oscar Isaac? Adam Driver? Those three alone will probably be remembered as among their generations’ best actors, and they all took turns wielding a light saber. It makes sense. Star Wars wants prestige actors and prestige actors want to be in Star Wars because who could turn down the chance to fulfill a childhood dream? It’s a win-win for us fans.
