Spring is springing, and our desire to role-play as a mythical creature and battle other mythical creatures is only growing. Playing pretend is one of life’s greatest pleasures. Remember when we used to do it all day as kids? I would have complex lore, mastery of several characters, and a complete vision for every make-believe session I had with the neighborhood kids. Sometimes it was hard to get everyone on the same page of reality. Some kids thought they were in an alien movie, some thought they were fighting dragons, and some of us were trying to do a faithful re-enactment of High School Musical 2. 

But the great thing about DnD is that there’s a structure for the playing pretend. So everyone gets on the same page, and fun is easier to be had. I just wish we could do it all day like we did when we were kids on summer vacation. Well, we can dream!
