Star Trek is one of the oldest fandoms in the world. People have been making fanzines and fanfiction inspired by the series since the 60s, and all different iterations of Star Trek have made incredible meme fodder since the invention of the internet meme. The two Patrick Stewart image macros are the most famous of the Star Trek memes, but they’re by no means the only ones. 

I have to admit I am not a diehard Trekkie, but I respect the grind of being a Trekkie. You have to watch so many different TV shows, movies, and animated series, which is not easy. If you’re diehard, you might pick up Klingon as a second language, and as someone who took a constructed (fictional) languages class in college, that’s not as easy as it looks.
