Everything I know about the UK, I learned from RuPaul’s Drag Race UK. Well, that’s not completely true, but there’s no way I would be able to list as many British cities as I can now were it not for the drag queen reality competition show. In every first episode, there’s a runway challenge where the queens have to wear a look that represents their hometown. Because of this, I definitely know some cursory facts about the culture in Brighton. 

If you’ve never watched Drag Race in any capacity, I maintain that series two of Drag Race UK is one of the best ones. My favorite contestant was Tayce, a queen who, among many other things, was obsessed with Heinz beans on toast. This is one part of British culture that I don’t know if I can get behind. I’m sorry, Brits, but I think that baked beans are kind of gross. At least y’all have the moral and nutritional high ground on me: I’m an American who literally drinks soda during breakfast. I hope you enjoy these British memes with a sausage roll, a spot of tea, beans on toast, or a Cadbury egg and fully bask in this unique culinary culture of yours.
