If you’re reading this, chances are you have at least a passing appreciation for bats. They answer the question «can an animal be both creepy and cute at the same time?» with an affirmative yes. They’re part of a small but select group of creatures that are mammals with flying abilities, and they even are cool enough to have inspired a superhero. 

We’ve got to give it to the bats: they’re nothing if not versatile. Beloved by hardcore goths and animal enthusiasts alike, it’s not hard to see why they fascinate so many different people. We know by now that this kind of popularity is bound to inspire some memes, and you’ll be glad to find that there’s a lot of them out there these days. The only downside is that they have to be looked at with our eyes, rather than using the formidable powers of echolocation. It doesn’t stop them being cute, though.
