Imagine all the things we could have achieved if we just spent a little less time staring dead-eyed at the internet. We could have picked up a new hobby, or spent some more time with the ones we love. We could have put in some work to get that promotion that genuinely might change everything, or even just get ahead of the never-ending pile of housework. However, it was never meant to be. Instead, we want to give priority to wasting our time with the easy to digest entertainment we can find in things like memes. Climbing the ladder of success is a futile exercise, because we’re all going to be in the ground someday anyway. We may as well enjoy the time we have by floating in a sea of stupid humor, and let everything else come second. We can’t deny that this is where all the good times are.
