June 22nd is a special date. It comes just after the solstice, marking the start of summer in the Northern Hemisphere. As well as this, it gifts us the start of Cancer season. For the next thirty days or so, we can bask in some suitably beachy symbolism while the sun is officially in the sign of the crab. 

When it comes to the astrological stereotypes, Cancers can get a bit of a bad rap. They’re meant to be whiny, moody, and passive aggressive at their worst — and let’s be honest, the name is kind of unfortunate too. Giving Scorpios and Geminis a run for their money is no mean feat, but just like those other misunderstood signs, they’ve got some great attributes to them as well. All they need is a little help to show off their complexities, like a few specially tailored memes. They’re caring and creative, plus those pincers pack one hell of a punch.
