Memes can act like currency, depending on who you’re talking to. They can show off our interests, and our understanding of the culture that they come from. They can also get bruised and battered from continuous circulation and exposure, one too many screenshots chipping away at their appearance until they’re unintentionally deep fried. Whether we think they are good, bad, or just overdone, we can place a lot of value in the memes that we consume, even if we don’t consider them that important on the surface of things. Occasionally, we have to take a step back and confirm that it’s not that deep. Hell, we should probably be doing that most of the time. The number one purpose of the memes put here is to entertain, or failing that, take our mind off everything else. So long as they’re doing that on a regular basis, we are all good.
