While the internet has changed an unbelievable amount over the past two decades, one thing has remained constant: it really, really loves posting about cats. The memes and other content that our feline friends inspire has also evolved with time, but the joy that it brings has remained very much the same. 

For even longer than the internet has existed, cats have improved our quality of life with their goofy antics. It makes sense that it has been such an enduring hit when it comes to memes. There are millions of people out there who can relate to having a cat, and many pictures of them are simply crying out for dumb captions. 

The best we can do is collect together some amusing examples of this, to satisfy the easy addiction that is cat memes. It doesn’t look like we’re going to be running out of material any time soon.
