If you’re a parentwho’s been buying Capri Sun for their kids or a nostalgic millennial who picks up a pouch from time to time, you may want to switch to another sugary juice product. Why? Because TikTok user Victor Aguilar shared an alarming video of a Capri Sun pouch with some kind of mold in the bottom of it. And apparently, this isn’t necessarily a rare occurrence. 

Aguliar filmed the viral video (which has over 5 million views) after opening a moldy Capri Sun from the same batch. If you’re skeptical of the video’s legitimacy, Aguilar shared a follow-up yesterday in which he clarifies that he stored the drinks properly, and that the expiration date is June 26, 2022. While some users think the mold is a testament to the drinks «realness,» and lack of preservatives, we have to argue that mold does not equal good. And after seeing an entire section about mold on the Capri Sun «FAQ» page (and a whole lot of tweets), it becomes pretty clear that we should definitely be paying more attention to the little window on the bottom of the pouches. Or not buying the drinks at all.
