Pettiness may be a negative trait, but it is one that requires a large amount of creativity to do it well. Anyone can hold a grudge, but acting on it is another matter. It helps if you have a talent of some description — for example, a freakish ability to locate anywhere in the world in a matter of seconds. 

If there is one person to make you think twice about sharing locational clues on the internet, it’s @georainbolt. Describing himself as a ‘professional google maps player’, he found viral fame with his mastery of GeoGuessr, the game which asks players to guess where they are on the world map by placing them in a random location on Google Street View. 

Apparently he got bored of simply scaring other people with this skill, and decided to use it for vengeance instead. When he discovered a fellow creator showing off ‘the greatest sandwich [he’d] ever had’ and refusing to share where he got it from, the geographical genius decided to school him in a lesson on not gatekeeping. Finding the location was wild enough, but getting the place to rename it is truly another level of spite.
