‘If one kid wants dinner now, then I make dinner’: Mom criticizes babysitting grandma for offering her son fruit instead of cooking dinner 2 hours early

It’s a tale as old as time: you walk up to your mom and tell her you’re hungry for dinner. She says that she’s not making dinner for another hour or so. Then, she offers you some fruit to quell your hunger but not ruin your appetite. You refuse and choose to be miserable until your Sloppy Joes finally arrive.

Now, let’s think about it from her perspective. Your human spawn, who is never full no matter how much you feed them, demands that you cook a hot meal 2 hours earlier than usual. You do not concede but offer them a healthy snack because the stubborn demon doesn’t eat enough fruits and vegetables as is. Naturally, they refuse this offer and continue to complain, even though there are no locks on the fridge, and they can eat whenever they want.

This situation plays out in every household at some point. This time, there’s a twist: The mother agrees with her son, who refuses a snack from his grandmother.
