Instacart Shopper Calls Out Shifty Customers Who Falsely Report Missing Items

If we choose to ignore things like the cost of living crisis, ongoing environmental destruction, fundamental human rights being rolled back, and everything just generally getting worse, it’s easy to take a step back and appreciate the numerous wonders of the modern world. A few carefully considered taps on our phones, and we can get pretty much anything delivered straight to our doorstep! 

What many of us take for granted, however, are all the workers who put in the effort to package up and deliver everything. It’s no mean feat, especially when it comes to something as particular as groceries. Instacart may be notorious for its strange swaps and tendency to miss off items, but the frustrations of the process can go both ways, as @angelicaa_castillo has pointed out.

In a rant that she posted to TikTok, the Instacart shopper ran through how she had been misled by a customer who claimed she had missed out a salad dressing from her shopping list, even though Angelica had photographic proof that the item was in one of the bags.

Plenty of fellow shoppers were there in the comments to commiserate over the shady behavior, although there were also a few Instacart users who had some complaints of their own. Needless to say, if you’re thinking about trying to scam your way into free items with your next online shop, perhaps you should think twice.
