Job Applicant Duped By Parking Scam, Both Anger And Hilarity Ensues

While the powers that be may act like nobody wants to work anymore, the job market is more of a jungle out there than ever. Employers are trying to reel people in using any methods possible, going above and beyond the usual hiring claptrap when it comes to unexpected drawbacks and false promises.

However, that’s not all. It seems like sometimes, those job adverts aren’t leading to positions at all. Instead, they’re trying to scam jobseekers out of what little money they have. When a friend of @visualbasic97 went for an interview recently, they quickly found out that the whole thing wasn’t what they signed up for. Instead of the chance at having employment, they were instead subjected to an elaborate parking scam, which ended in a ten minute, transparently fake «interview».

Naturally, many people on Twitter were enraged on their behalf, even mentioning similar examples to this incident. At the same time, though, there were plenty who knew just how to make light of the situation. Nathan Fielder had to be behind this somewhere.
