Basic memes are all well and good, but sometimes you need to feel smart while you procrastinate doing smart things. I recently listened to a podcast (rare, to be honest) about time management and mortality. The gist of it was that there’s no way we’re ever going to be able to do everything. We need to be choosy, and we need to be strategic in regard to the things we don’t accomplish. Because we need to accept that there are things in life that we simply can’t – or shouldn’t – for the sake of our well-being. Sometimes this means putting off that meeting until next week. Other times, it means deciding to write dense or brainy pieces when you have a bit more brain cells at your disposal. 

Sometimes, when I put off an analytical piece or something that I want to be proud of, I opt to procrastinate in ways that still make me feel smart or capable. This could mean getting inspiration from a good book, or simply looking at memes that remind us of what be brains we have. These memes we’re offering up today fall into the latter category. Looking at memes about dinosaurs or Dungeons & Dragons may not help you with that essay, but the act may remind you that you’re storing a hell of a lot of knowledge (and a sense of humor) up in that noggin of yours.
