‘Parenting where kids are allowed to have feelings’: Millennials share the positive trends that their generation have started

Historically speaking, millennials have been a much-maligned generation that has faced critique from both sides. Boomers and Gen X have written them off as a bunch of self-indulgent spendthrifts, and Gen Z has made a point about dismissing them as cringe.

While the adults also known as Gen Y are far from the perfect cohort, it seems unfair to solely focus on their real or imagined bad points. They have also made a move towards some really positive societal changes, as has been underlined in a recent Reddit thread.

Asking people to name the things that Millennials were «giving birth to», the responses were an antidote to the claim that this generation spends all their time killing off random industries that the boomers were keeping propped up. Considering a significant number of them don’t want to have kids, this thread seems to think that they are great at nurturing the kind of behavior that would benefit anyone when they were growing up.
