There are few things in this world that I appreciate more than walking around in nature. Perhaps this has to do with being a city slicker. Walking around my neighborhood at home I can see rats, big ass palmetto bugs, squirrels and the occasional backyard raccoon or possum. And while I cannot denigrate those creatures (except for the big roaches), these sorts of critter sightings leave something to be desired. Walking around my parents new home in Vermont, however, is a different story. Their land is covered with tiny, adorable toads in the right weather, and the every step I take near the stream that runs down their road yields the sound of frogs hopping away from my presence. While I want them to stay so I can coddle and coo over them, I have to respect the amphibious urge to, uh, not be in a human’s hand. I may not be able to legitimately chill with the amphibians of the wild, but at least I can indulge in some froggy humor and weirdness – all of which is captured in these here memes and posts.
