Disney movies really accurately portray the pressure society puts on all of us to grow up as quickly as possible. When you’re a youth, you never think the time will come when you’ll feel like a grown up for real, but it always sneaks up on us. We go from Peter Pan to Mr. Darling in a matter of years. This transformation doesn’t happen overnight, but I’d say most of us have had several moments throughout our lives where we’ve realized just how adult we actually are. This might be a controversial opinion, but I think getting older is actually good. When you’re a kid, you can’t go anywhere, do anything, and you have nothing. But as an adult, you have the freedom to go to Disney theme parks and watch Disney movies on your own terms. Go right ahead: heal your inner child by looking at Disney memes. Do it; I dare you.
